Technology Instructor: Tricia Wickizer This camp is designed for boys and girls, ages 7-15, who are interested in learning how to create multimedia projects on the computer. It is appropriate for all skill levels, as students will be grouped together as much as possible. Detailed information about the focus of each age group is below. AM Session (9:00-12:00):

GRADES 1-4 The younger students will explore several programs (KidPix, Paint/Draw, iPhoto, Keynote, and PowerPoint) in order to create a multimedia presentation. Students may choose a topic of their own or choose from a list of ideas to create one or more multimedia presentations. Students will burn their final project(s) to cd. Objectives Students will learn how to:
GRADES 5-8 The older students may explore several programs (iMovie, iPhoto, GarageBand, iTunes, iWeb, Flash, and iDVD) in order to create an original DVD, which could include a live movie, an animated movie (using Flash, clay or legos), or a slide show of still photos with music. Students may choose a topic of their own or choose from a list of ideas to create their DVD. Clay, legos, butcher paper, scissors, glue, and pens/markers will be available, but students may also bring cardboard boxes and other items to use as props or to make a set for their movie. Personal photos may also be used. They can be scanned into the computer at camp or students can bring them to camp on a cd, dvd, floppy disk, zip disk, or usb drive. It is also possible for students to film at home before the camp begins and then bring the tape/camera to camp for downloading and editing, but it is not required. Students are also welcome to bring their own clay, legos, and cameras, including all cables, as long as they are marked with their last name. Objectives Students will learn how to:
