What is SCRIP?
SCRIP is a fundraising program where participants buy merchant gift certificates or gift cards at face value and when the SCRIP is spent the merchant gives the school a percentage of the purchase price. Percentages vary with merchants and range from 2% to 32%. Schools across the nation benefit from this EASY, PAINLESS and PROFITABLE fundraising program.

Participation
OLL relies on SCRIP revenue to meet annual operating expenses. Every OLL family participates in this program unless they chose the buy out option when registering. For those signed to use SCRIP, the commitment for the 2006-07 school year is $125. SCRIP Adds Up! If you purchase $100 of groceries with a SCRIP gift card from Safeway, they will contribute 3% of your purchase to the school. Buy your gas with SCRIP and 2% of your purchases will benefit the school. Go out to dinner using SCRIP and 8 - 32% of your purchases will benefit OLL. Buy gifts, clothing, books, and home improvement items with SCRIP! It all adds up and if every family participates the profit can be enormous.

Ordering SCRIP
Orders are place twice a month. We are currently running the first and third Friday of each month. Please have your order - with payment - in the office by then for delivery the following Friday.

If you order the same amount each month, consider placing a standing order. It will be available for pick-up on the second Friday of each month. You may pay your order at the time of pick-up.

The local companies will not necessarily be on this list as this is a list of companies that are located through out the country. Please see the first page of the OLL order form for those local companies.

ESCRIP
Safeway has partnered with escrip! Registration is easy! Only your name, address, email, phone and Safeway club card number are needed. You can register your Safeway Club card to start receiving SCRIP credit towards your commitment.

If you have lost your Safeway club card and need the number you can call Safeway at 1-877-safe-way. And they can provide you with that information.

Exclusions: Exclude purchases of Safeway Home Delivery, Alcohol, Tobacco, Fluid Dairy Products (CA and NV only), US Postage Stamps, Sports Games, Vendor Coupons, Lottery Tickets, Gift Certificates/Gift Cards, Commuter Passes, Amusement Park Passes, Money Orders, Gasoline Purchases, CRV (California Redemption Value), that portion of a Pharmacy prescription not paid for by the customer, Safeway Club Savings, Safeway Store Coupons, and Sales Tax.
Escrip

Escrip will allow you to register an existing debit or credit card and OLL will receive between 1 – 10% depending on where you shop. A list of participating merchants is available at www.escrip.com.  Escrip also has a credit card that you can sign up to carry. This card has no yearly fee. Find out more at www.escrip.com.
