Fundraising Requirement

Tuition + Fundraising = Total Cost of Education

Our Lady of Lourdes strives to keep our tuition in check, and thereby make Catholic education accessible to a greater number of families. To do this, we charge less in tuition than the actual cost of education per student. The difference is made up by parish subsidies and fundraising revenue.

OLL tuition provides approximately 70% of school revenues. Parish subsidies from the parishes of Our Lady of Lourdes, St. John, Sacred Heart, Holy Redeemer, and St. Thomas provide additional revenues. The remainder is generated through fundraising, thus EVERY family benefits from school fundraising activities and is expected to participate in the annual benefit auction, the Angels for Education Annual Giving Campaign, and the SCRIP program to the best of their ability.  All other school fundraisers are for particular program needs.

The following three programs provide annual funding to bridge the gap between tuition and the total cost of education at Our Lady of Lourdes School.

Fundraising Sources

Annual Benefit Auction
The annual auction is our largest fundraising event of the year, with all proceeds going directly to offset the school operating budget. It is essential that all parents participate in the auction by procuring donations, volunteering, and if possible attending this fun and exciting event.

Find out more about the auction on our auction page.

Angels for Education Annual Giving Campaign
The Angels for Education Annual Giving Campaign is our largest ongoing fundraising activity of the year, with proceeds going toward tuition assistance, endowment, and areas of need within our school.

Angels for Education helps OLL to meet the needs of today while planning for the needs of the future. Every family benefits from this program, therefore every family is asked to participate to the best of their ability.

It is essential for our school to have a strong tuition assistance program. Providing aid helps individual families in need and at the same time helps to keep classrooms full, which benefits every family in the form of lower overall tuition rates.
Building an endowment for future funding is critical if we are to continue to provide accessible Catholic education.
General gifts fund many areas of need within our school, including technology, curricular and facility improvements, and profession development for our staff.
For more information please see Angels for Education.

SCRIP Gift Certificate Program
SCRIP is a year-round fundraising program. Revenue generated from Scrip directly offsets the school operating budget, benefiting every familiy. Participation is required with a minimum profit of $125 per family. Please visit our SCRIP page for more information.
