Here at Our Lady of Lourdes we realize that not all families have the financial ability to pay the total cost of education per child. Therefore, we provide alternatives to reduce the cost per student. We ask parents who are able, to pay the total cost of education; however, our tuition rates assume a minimum participation in annual school auction and scrip fundraising activities, and a minimum number of volunteer hours per family.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition and fees account for approximately 71% of the actual cost of education. Tuition is calculated with the assumption that all families participate in the annual school auction to the extent they are able, and that all families participate and earn a $150 scrip profit for the school, and that certain areas of need will be met by Angels for Education donations and grants, rather than tuition.
Subsidy
If you are a participating and active member of Our Lady of Lourdes, St. James, St. John, Sacred Heart, St. Mary, St. Phillip, Holy Redeemer or St. Thomas parish you may qualify for parish subsidy from your home parish. Each parish will determine what their subsidy rate will be. Subsidized rates on our tuition rate schedule are for Our Lady of Lourdes parish families only. Each family must arrange subsidy directly with their own Pastor.
SCRIP Program
Each family is asked to participate in the SCRIP program to earn a minimum of $150 profit per family, which goes directly into the annual operating budget.
Tuition Assistance
Our Lady of Lourdes
offers tuition assistance to over 30% of our school families. To be eligible for tuition assistance families who expect to need financial aid must apply through the Fulcrum Foundation by March 1st each year. Over 50% of the annual tuition assistance awarded comes from the Angels for Education Annual Giving Campaign. The total amount is determined by how much was donated in the the prior year's campaign. Additional sources for tuition assistance include the Fulcrum Foundation (a foundation dedicated to the support of Catholic schools in Western Washington), the Thomas and Velda Mae LaPierre Scholarship Fund, the Gabriel Antonio Fazio Scholarship Fund, the Buck Scholarship Fund, and Foundation Grants.
Payment Plans
Tuition may be paid on 10 or 12 month payment plans, making it easier for families to budget.
