Family Volunteer Hour Requirement

Our Lady of Lourdes Volunteer Program is essential to the success of our school. The volunteer program reduces our costs by utilizing parent and parish volunteers. Volunteering also allows parents to have greater participation in their childrens school life and to share in the responsibility for success of school programs.

All parents are required to support the efforts of Our Lady of Lourdes School by contributing a minimum of 30 hours of volunteer time per family per year (15 hours for single parents) in various fund-raising and service activities. This is a wonderful way to become acquainted with school parents and grow in the spirit of the Our Lady of Lourdes community while helping minimize the per-student cost of education.

Volunteer opportunities include room parents, health room parents, auction workers, annual campaign, development committee, golf tournament, hot lunch, tool time, and more.

Numerous avenues are available for parents to sign up for volunteer opportunities.

  • Sign up at the annual Parent Orientation meeting the held the first Thursday evening of fall term.
  • Respond to volunteer requests for events as they occur throughout the year.
